Hutson Industries was a Texas semiconductor manufacturer founded in the mid-1960s by Jerry Hutson, who started the company in his Richardson, Texas home after gaining chip-manufacturing experience at Texas Instruments. Headquartered in Frisco, Texas, with additional sites in Dallas and Mexico, it became known for thyristors, including sensitive-gate silicon controlled rectifiers (SCRs) and triacs, and was reported closed in January 2015 after nearly 50 years. This collection carries Hutson Industries S106B1 sensitive-gate SCRs, rated 4A RMS and 200V in a TO-202 package, as surplus inventory for motor, heater and speed control repair.
