Collection: Tung-Sol
Tung-Sol began in 1904, when Harvey Wilson Harper and brothers Herbert E. and Herbert C. Plass started a small lamp business in New York City that soon moved to Newark, New Jersey. The company developed the dual-filament high- and low-beam headlamp in 1913 and went on to become one of America's leading vacuum tube makers, introducing the 6550 audio power tube in 1955. In the 1950s and 1960s Tung-Sol also manufactured germanium and silicon transistors. It began doing business as Tung-Sol Electric Inc. in 1951 and merged into Wagner Electric in 1966. This collection carries vintage Tung-Sol semiconductors, including germanium power transistors, as new old stock for vintage amplifier, radio and equipment restoration. Fast shipping from American Industrial Parts Group.
