DESCRIPTION

Vintage Intel D8748 MCS-48 8-bit microcontroller from new old stock inventory.

The D8748 combines an 8-bit CPU, user-programmable and UV-erasable EPROM program memory, RAM, I/O capability, and an internal timer/event counter in a single 40-pin ceramic DIP package.

The ceramic package includes the characteristic quartz EPROM erase window, allowing the internal program memory to be erased using ultraviolet light and reprogrammed with compatible programming equipment.
