DESCRIPTION
This is a vintage National Semiconductor LM312D micropower operational amplifier in a 14-pin ceramic DIP with a gold lid, a gold base plate and gold leads. The LM312 is the commercial-temperature (0°C to +70°C) version of National's LM112/LM212/LM312 series. The series combines very low offset voltage and input current with internal frequency compensation, and its offset can be adjusted with a single potentiometer.
Features:
Micropower single op amp with 0.3 mA typical supply current
Very low input bias current: 1.5 nA typical, 7 nA max at 25°C
Low input offset current: 0.2 nA typical, 1 nA max at 25°C
High open-loop gain: 300 V/mV typical
100 dB typical CMRR; 96 dB typical supply rejection
±13 V min output swing into 10 kΩ at ±15 V supplies
Internally compensated, with provision for external overcompensation; overvoltage protection on the MOS compensation capacitor
±18 V max supply; 500 mW power dissipation; continuous output short-circuit protection
Gold-top ceramic DIP with gold leads and base plate
Markings: National Semiconductor "NS" logo, "515" and "LM312D", plus a pin-1 triangle
Date code 515: 1975, week 15
Unused; some leads are slightly bent from storage
Compatibility:
Direct replacement for the National Semiconductor LM312D. It shares the same die as the LM312H metal-can version, so check the package pinout before substituting one for the other. The LM112 and LM212 are the military- and industrial-temperature grades of the same amplifier.
Q&A
