DESCRIPTION
New old stock Signetics MC7915C three-terminal -15V, 1A negative fixed voltage regulator in a TO-220 package. It is marked with the Signetics logo, "KOREA," "5G," and "MC7915C." Never installed, with clean, unsoldered leads. Light handling marks on the tab and leads, as pictured.
The MC7915C is the -15V member of the MC7900 negative regulator series. It is commonly paired with a 7815 to build a ±15V split supply for op-amp, audio and test-equipment circuits. Specifications below come from the MC7900-series datasheet.

Compatibility:
Direct replacement for MC7915C and other 7915 -15V 1A negative regulators in TO-220, including MC7915CT, LM7915, KA7915, L7915CV and UA7915. On the 79xx series the pinout differs from the positive 78xx series. Pin 1 is Ground, Pin 2 is Input and Pin 3 is Output, and the metal tab connects to the Input, not to ground. Use an insulator kit if the heatsink is grounded.
